Overview

The Program Manager Investigator Support manages the Investigator Support Hub within Research and Sponsored Project Administration (RaSPA) through coordination of Children's Mercy Hospital (CMH) resources and required approvals/registrations and directly supports investigators through providing protocol and consent writing services for investigator-initiated research projects. This will be done through obtaining high level knowledge of the Children's Mercy Research Institute (CMRI) research infrastructure and in close collaboration with CMH departments within and outside of Research and Sponsored Project Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Approvals/Registrations: Coordinates required approvals and registrations for individual research projects in direct collaboration with the CMH Principal Investigator.
  • Coordinates Resources: Coordinates available resources for individual research projects in direct collaboration with the CMH Principal Investigator.
  • Provides Direct Writing Services: Writes and edits protocols and consent forms for investigator-initiated research projects in direct collaboration with the CMH Principal Investigator.
  • Manages the Investigator Hub: Identifies opportunities for improvement, creates and maintains SOPS and supporting documentation, and provides metrics on resource utilization and turnaround times.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Biological/health sciences or related field and 1-2 years experience Experience in writing in a medical or research setting is essential to job performance.; Protocol and consent development or scientific writing experience is strongly preferred. or
  • Bachelor's Degree Biological/health sciences or related field and 3-5 years experience Experience in writing in a medical or research setting is essential to job performance.; Protocol and consent development or scientific writing experience is strongly preferred. or
  • Associate's Degree Biological/health sciences or related field and 5-7 years experience Experience in writing in a medical or research setting is essential to job performance.; Protocol and consent development or scientific writing experience is strongly preferred.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.24/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
