Overview

The Service Line Director is responsible for ongoing leadership and operations of a clinical ambulatory department/division and for nursing care safety and quality. The Service Line Director uses sound human resource and financial management principles and techniques to guide the provision of nursing services to patients and families. The Service Line Director supports comprehensive patient and family services through effective participation with the interdisciplinary team and may be responsible for one or more service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for nursing staff and the interdisciplinary patient care team to support high quality care of patients and families.
  • Assures the personnel, workplace, and technology resources necessary for the provision of safe, high quality patient and family care.
  • Leads the application of new knowledge and innovation to advance improvements at the department/division and organizational level.
  • Utilizes financial data to effectively manage the department/division operating budget, plan capital expenditures, and formulate a business plan for new programs or services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree BSN required and
    • 5-7 years experience
      • Evidenced ability in progressive organization and practice leadership. or
  • Master's Degree preferred
    • A master's degree in nursing may be accepted in lieu of a BSN.
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • RNs who reside in Missouri hold a Missouri Multi-State (Compact) License Required Upon Hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
  • Specialty Certification Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $52.32/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
