Overview

The Quality Improvement (QI) Program Coordinator partners with Division/Department leaders and staff to coordinate and support improvements in safety, operational efficiency, patient care effectiveness, patient/family/staff outcomes and service excellence. The Coordinator is a resource to leaders and staff with regard to quality improvement techniques and measurement and promotes the integration of quality initiatives with related lean and research activities.

If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and coordinates activities to evaluate and improve work processes and care quality, using quality and safety tools and techniques.
  • Leads, facilitates, and mentors Division/Department staff on quality and safety initiatives and programs.
  • Collaborates with the Manager/Director to represent the Department/Division for internal and external performance improvement initiatives and collaboratives.
  • Maintains personal, professional knowledge and educates others with regard to quality science and patient safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience Previous clinical experience in pediatric nursing and health care process improvement, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. or
  • Master's Degree Nursing or Healthcare Field (Preferred)
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri, Licensed Respiratory Therapist MO, Not Applicable required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • RNs who reside in Kansas hold a Kansas Multi-State (Compact) License if RN and Required Upon Hire
  • RNs who reside in Missouri hold a Missouri Multi-State (Compact) License if RN or Required Upon Hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
  • Certification: CPHQ, Six Sigma Green Belt within 2 years of eligibility Required
  • RESP THER LIC KS Licensed Respiratory Therapist KS if RT and Required Upon Hire
  • RESP THER LIC MO Licensed Respiratory Therapist MO if RT or Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $37.96/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
