Overview

The Data Science Intern position actively participates in a structured set of activities providing practical experience in Data Science and Analytics over a single school semester and/or summer. Intern coordinates with the data science and analytics teams on a variety of projects related to quality, safety, improvement, operational excellence and decision-making. Internship offers hands-on experience with real-world data, exposure to advanced analytical tools and techniques, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects across the organization. Intern will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to explore data, build models, and communicate findings that support business goals. #LI-DNI

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the Data Science team on a variety of projects related to quality, safety, improvement, and operation efficiencies within the hospital. Collaborates with data scientists and cross-functional teams to understand business problems and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Presents data findings in a meaningful way to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be accepted to, or enrolled in, a collegiate or master's program with an intended degree in the following categories: Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related area of focus.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.71/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
