Overview

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) will contribute to and lead the execution of human resources strategies to support executive leaders and to Support key business results in their aligned client groups. The Sr. HRBP maintains an advanced level of organizational knowledge and business literacy and stays informed on the business unit's midrange plans, culture, financial position and challenges. The HRBP builds and maintains influential relationships and is a strategic partner with executive and senior leaders. Understands the industry, including the current and forecasted environment, and develops HR solutions to support the desired direction of the business. Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to leaders and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Responsible for providing high-level daily support in the administration of HR initiatives for the assigned executive leaders and their senior leadership teams. Leads project teams and provides informal guidance and support to less experienced HRBP staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders to diagnose Human Resource related needs, provide solutions to complex problems and assist leaders in setting business strategies to drive positive business results.
  • Provide strategic HR leadership and consultation focused on creating innovative HR strategies to anticipate and assess emerging business, organization or people trends and identify and implement effective solutions. Support less experienced HRBP staff in their work.
  • Drive desired cultural change, working closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Collaborate with HR functional partners to execute human resources strategies to enable business objectives and support future business growth.

 

Knowledge, Skills

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources Management principles and best practice standards.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment law
  • Astute business acumen, including understanding of the healthcare industry
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate both verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in large healthcare system or other large organization (3,000+ employees) that is highly complex
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to break-down a problem into its basic components in order to derive a solution.
  • Problem resolution skills and the ability to address and resolve a problem/issue quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop business relationships with persons of varying personalities.
  • Effective time management and project management skills

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and 5-7 years experience HR Business Partner experience or HR experience in a variety or progressive roles or
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years experience HR Business Partner experience or HR experience in a variety of progressive roles
  • SHRM-CP, SCP or PHR Preferred Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $45.83/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
