Overview

The Program Specialist position primarily supports the Promise 1000 – Home Visiting Collective, a grant-funded program within the Division of Child Adversity and Resilience, that elevates and promotes early childhood home visiting (prenatal- 3 years) by assisting with marketing/outreach efforts, education/training activities, and administrative tasks including monitoring and processing of home visiting referrals. In addition to Promise 1000, this position provides support for other special projects identified by the Promise 1000 Manager and the Division Director.

Responsibilities

  • This position assists with program marketing and outreach efforts including arranging marketing/outreach campaigns and materials for programs, engaging potential new partners and presenting about programs to professionals and the community
  • Referral Monitoring/Processing/Progress Documenting
  • This position will be responsible for daily monitoring, processing and progress documentation of Promise 1000 home visiting referrals. This role will also engaging with participating partners through the monitoring process and track state wide partner capacity to take referrals.
  • Program Education/Guidance/Training This position assists with program education and training activities including organizing and facilitating (on occasion) professional development trainings for home visiting partners and provides educational support/guidance to various onboarding partners 
  • Program Support Activities/Other Clerical and Administrative Tasks
  • This position will implement various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, being responsible for monitoring/posting on Promise 1000 social media accounts, providing support to advisory workgroups, proofreading materials and other task as assigned by the Program Manager 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Early Childhood Development and 3-5 years experience Home Visiting, Early Childhood, Early Childhood Development, Social Services/Sciences
  • Associate's Degree Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Early Childhood Development and 5-7 years experience Home Visiting, Early Childhood, Early Childhood Development, Social Services/Sciences

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $23.48/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
