Do you envision finding a meaningful role with an inclusive and compassionate team? At Children’s Mercy, we believe in making a difference in the lives of all children and shining a light of hope to the patients and families we serve. Children’s Mercy is in the heart of Kansas City – a metro abounding in cultural experiences, vibrant communities and thriving businesses. This is where our patients and families live, work and play. As a leader in children’s health, we engage in meaningful programs and partnerships throughout the region so that we can improve the lives of children beyond the walls of our hospital.
The Team for Infants Exposed to Substance use (TIES) Program is an intensive home-based partnership with pregnant and postpartum women and their families affected by maternal substance use. The program provides social work and parent educator specialists who partner with families to create a mutually designed plan that is both individualized and comprehensive and builds on family strengths to meet family’s identified goals. Staff provide direct services (e.g. counseling, crisis intervention, transportation, support for substance use treatment, connection to health care) and help coordinate the services of other community agencies (e.g. substance use treatment, child welfare, criminal justice) as well.
The TIES Program Supervisor is responsible for administrative, clinical, and reflective supervision of all TIES clinical staff. In addition, the Supervisor is an integral part of the TIES and Community Programs management teams and consistently works to identify, plan and implement strategies to enhance services to families.
