Overview

This important role manages integrated inpatient teams; assists the Director in the management of department; including personnel and fiscal management and development of, and training oversight of programs and services. Participates in department and hospital performance improvement activities; Responsible for outcomes reporting, quality, and lean process improvements. The Manager of Care Management provides evidence-based and outcome-focused family centered-care management services.

 

Note: This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, daytime role

Qualifications

This role requires the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and 3-5 years' experience in case management required. A Master's Degree is required within 4 years of hire. OR
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare, or related field (MBA) preferred (with an undergraduate degree in Nursing, BSN), plus and 1-2 years' experience in case management.  
  • ACM, Accredited Case Manager or CCM, Certified Case Manager must be obtained within 2 years of hire. Preferred upon hire

If RN/MSN:

  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Missouri, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire. OR
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • RNs who reside in Kansas hold a Kansas Multi-State (Compact) License. If RN and Required Upon Hire
  • RNs who reside in Missouri hold a Missouri Multi-State (Compact) License. If RN or Required Upon Hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

 

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $41.26/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
