Overview

This position provides quality support services of registration and other related tasks within the revenue cycle. The data collection processes performed by this role directly impact departments such as Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, clinical services, and other areas within the hospital. Individuals in this role often serve as a patient's first impression of customer service prior to the delivery of care.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains, enters, and verifies demographic and financial information in the computer system for registration areas including ambulatory services, ancillary departments, emergency room, urgent care, lab, and radiology. Collects point of service payments in accordance with department policy and practice.
  • Adheres to customer service guidelines for the Patient Access Department and demonstrates excellent customer service delivery in daily interactions.
  • Meets all business and compliance expectations of the department and CMH.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Or equivalent hours and 1-2 years experience One year of experience in customer service, business office setting, or revenue cycle. or
  • HS diploma or equivalent and Two years of experience required in either a patient access or customer service role.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.56/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
