The Clinical Nutrition Specialist I provides comprehensive, quality nutrition care to a defined patient population in an efficient, timely and caring manner. Responsibilities include nutrition assessment of patients that are at nutritional risk; development, implementation, and on-going evaluation of a nutrition care plan; education of patients and families with consideration for individual needs with follow-up information to referring physician. The Clinical Nutrition Specialist I is also involved in education of students, hospital staff and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition care for all patients in the assigned caseload.
  • Provide education and/or in-service training to students and staff, professionals, and community.
  • Participate in Nutrition department activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree preferred No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training or
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience
  • Licensed Dietitian MO
  • Registered Dietitian
  • Licensed Dietitian KS
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Dietitian KS or equivalent within 15 days
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Dietitian MO or equivalent within 15 days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $25.63/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Wichita area.
