Overview

The Clinical Research Managerin the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Rheumatology department    is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of clinical research projects within the Division. The Clinical Researh Manager will provide management of clinical research operations, including quality management, personnel management, and regulatory compliance. As well as collaborating with Principal Investigators and study coordinators for management of research studies within the Division. Acts as liaison between the Division and sponsors of the clinical research (eg. pharmaceutical companies, NIH, foundations) program and CMH Medical Research Administration as relates to day-to-day operations. Utilizes experiences and knowledge as a resource to enhance the research capabilities and accomplishments of the Division. Applies knowledge of regulations, guidance's, and Good Clinical Practices (GCP), including the protection of human research subjects with particular emphasis on pediatrics, reporting requirement for adverse events, elements of informed consent, and other local laws, policies, and procedures that govern the performance and conduct of clinical research activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years experience Clinical Trials and clinical research experience required in order to adequately perform job functions
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) Preferred Upon Hire
  • If RN, refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.67/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
